On The Mend

I’m happy to report that I am feeling much better than I was earlier this week, though I am not yet fully recovered from Sunday’s ordeal.  It’s been surprising to me just how long it is taking me to bounce back.  As much as I want to jump right back into life as usual, I know I need to take it easy until I am 100%.  I miss working out though!

Most of my activity this week comes from taking care of an active 14-month-old.  Beyond that I’ve been doing a little knitting, some reading and a smidge of baking.

Yesterday I went for a walk with a friend, the first of any kind of activity since the race, and might have overdone it a little bit.  3.5 miles might have been too much…  Come afternoon I was exhausted.  Good thing E took a nice long afternoon nap because mama napped, too!

I’m now sporting some pretty nice bruises where the IVs were placed and I, obviously, tire fairly easily.  Heck, I’m probably still dehydrated.  But despite those things, I am definitely on the mend!
